Dr. Derek Saku is a physician specializing in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He earned his medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine and completed his residency in PM&R at Virginia Commonwealth University Health System, where he also served in leadership and teaching roles. His clinical expertise includes inpatient rehabilitation, joint injections, and the management of neurological and musculoskeletal conditions. He has assisted in quality improvement projects that created protocols to better care for medically complex patients undergoing inpatient rehabilitation.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Saku enjoys exercise, pickleball, traveling, movies, and watching the NFL
